Ben Lomond from David Marshall Lodge title sponsor

The first time the team of Alma Cadzow [narration] and Paul McGinlay [text] and Mark Jordan worked together, the title is an adaptation of Paul's highly acclaimed series of local guide books.
Starting at Stirling and the battle of Bannockburn, did you know this was due to a wager between Robert the Bruce's brother and the keeper of the castle? The castle is visited next with its rich complex history and then onto the Wallace Monument and we hear the great deeds of this freedom fighter immortalised in the blockbuster film 'Braveheart'.
Then onto Doune, whose fine ancient castle was featured in another film 'Monty Python's and the Holy Grail'.
The next settlement is the gateway to Scotland's First National Park - Callander. Once famous for the TV series 'Dr Finlay' and now a busy town at the foot of Ben Ledi. The Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park was formed in the millenium year. We go into the heart of the Trossachs and over the Dukes Pass into Aberfoyle, then onto the Lake of Menteith, then up to bonny Strathyre and then Balquhidder the home and resting place of Rob Roy, then to Loch Earn and the settlement of Lochearnhead. Through Glen Ogle to the highland grandeur of Breadalbane and Killin and Loch Tay. The final destination is Crainlarich and Tyndrum.
