The 4th title in the Scottish series narrated by Alma Cadzow. The city of Perth submitted to Cromwell's occupation and the Jacobite rising and was the site of numerous battles and the murder of a monarch. It witnessed the first sparks of the reformation and nearby Scone Palace was once the crowning place of the Scottish kings. The Tay flows through the city and is the largest river in the country fed by rivers from numerous glens such as the Ericht, Tilt, Tummel, Lyon, Earn and Almond. It carries more water than the Thames and Severn combined. Perth and Kinross contains much of Scotland's richest farmland with rolling hills leading to magnificent glens - with Glenshee; the highest main road mountain pass in the country at over 2000ft and a leading ski centre.
